Construction Skills Network blueprint for UK construction 2011-2015

Equipping the UK with a well-trained, productive construction workforce has always been central to the sector’s growth and success. But it is now essential if businesses are to succeed and grow, and it’s important to replace the skills lost to the industry during the recession. For that to happen there needs to be a very clear understanding of the UK skills picture, including future needs, so that businesses can plan and invest. It is during such difficult times that understanding the labour market is so essential.

That is what the CSN forecasts provide. They continue to capture a unique evidence base for the industry. Crucially, they allow organisations to examine demand and its drivers, utilising significant robust labour market intelligence to inform strategic and business planning.
