UKCES UK report 2009/10
The Sector Skills Assessments (previously the Skills Needs Analysis reports and Skills Foresight reports) are to be produced annually from 2009 and cover a set of key themes under four main headings:
- What drives skill demand?
- Current skill needs
- Anticipating what lies ahead
- Geography
These reports have been commissioned with the Sector Skills Councils by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) and form part of the National Strategic Skills Audit ordered by the UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).
This report covers the main findings for the UK. Greater detail covering the English regions, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, can be found in the separate national reports that will be published in 2010.
