UKCES UK report 2009/10 - Wales
The Sector Skills Assessments (previously the Skills Needs Analysis reports and Skills Foresight reports) are to be produced annually from 2009 and cover a set of key themes under four main headings:
- What drives skill demand?
- Current skill needs
- Anticipating what lies ahead
- Geography
These reports have been commissioned with the Sector Skills Councils by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) and form part of the National Strategic Skills Audit ordered by the UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS). This paper describes the current and future skills priorities for the construction sector, demonstrating the contribution that construction makes to the economy and highlighting priorities and potential barriers to growth.
