CITB welcomes CLC’s new strategy

CITB Chief Executive, Tim Balcon, who is a member of the CLC Task Force Group, said:

“We welcome the CLC’s new three-year strategy and its focus on working collaboratively to deliver transformational change, boost productivity and create a more resilient industry, creating capability and capacity to deliver future growth.

“By investing over £233m across the sector this year, CITB is working hard to support the construction industry to have the skilled, competent and inclusive workforce it needs, now and in the future.

“CLC’s vision marks a new era for the Council and absolutely complements our work at CITB and our 2022/23 business plan, which focusses on responding to the skills demand, developing the capacity and capability of training provision, and addressing future skills needs.

“It’s great to be supporting the CLC to deliver its strategy and especially the people and skills network which CITB co-chairs. By working in partnership, we will increase our impact and help address key industry challenges and encourage more talented people from all walks of life to join our fantastic industry.”
