Pembrokeshire’s Future Stone Masons
In March and May, 19 young people learning construction at Pembrokeshire College undertook ten-day courses as an Introduction to Traditional Stone Masonry. The courses were financed by Pembroke Town Walls Trust as part of their project to develop a long-term management plan for restoring the town’s medieval walls, and funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal fund, managed by Pembrokeshire County Council.
Tunnelling Tasters a Roaring Success
The very first in-person CITB Tunnelling Taster Session successfully launched recently. A collaboration between CITB, Tunnelcraft, TunnelSkills, The STC Group, Tideway, BMB Construction, BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall and Balfour Beatty, the programme is designed to inspire young people to take up a career in the booming tunnelling industry.
Can you offer leadership and management training to the construction industry?
CITB is encouraging more providers to sign up to become an Approved Training Organisation and offer vital training for the construction industry. The organisation has waived the joining fee of £750 for providers to encourage more to become CITB approved, enabling them to offer essential training and reap the many benefits available to businesses.
