Advert - SkillBuild Judges
CITB is looking to secure a team of competent and highly experienced competition judges for the 2025 SkillBuild competition cycle.
We are looking to create a community of judges who are willing to commit to attending regional and national skill competitions throughout the 2025 SkillBuild competition cycle.
The contract will be for 12 months, with the option to extend for an additional two 12-month periods.
Some examples of the required works are listed below, but there may be others required in the full role as a competition judge.
- Attending and judging at SkillBuild competition locations throughout the UK (Regional Qualifier & National Finals)
- To be an expert in their field (trade/skill), to support competition delivery, provide learner CPD and to facilitate engagement with stakeholders from across industry.
- To work with young people (learners, apprentices, trade professionals etc.) throughout their competition journey providing guidance and support as required.
- To work with a community of industry sponsors and stakeholders to effectively deliver skill competitions.
- Carry out competition specific tasks such as completing marking schemes, managing HSE compliance, set up/breakdown of competition stations etc.
- Proven ability to read, understand and mark against competition specific project drawings.
Contracts will be awarded based on experience, skills, and expertise. If more applications are received compared with number of judges roles available applications will be kept on file for future positions.
