Courses range from the one-day Health and Safety Awareness course to the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme. There are also refresher courses to make sure that workers are keeping up with the latest practices and techniques to be safe on the job.

Fire safety awareness in construction and the built environment.

This free to access, level 1 (awareness) course is designed for any­one look­ing to devel­op their under­stand­ing of fire safety in the workplace, with a specific focus on the construction industry. The course is split into three modules - 1. Understanding fire, 2. Detection & protection, 3. Escape & consequences.

Fire safety in buildings

This level 1 (awareness) course has been developed in partnership with Build UK and fire industry experts and is designed to improve an individual’s knowledge of fire safety measures in buildings. The course is suitable for anyone working in the design, construction, or maintenance of buildings, with a specific focus on installers.

The course is split into 5 modules:

• Grenfell
• Materials
• Fire protection
• Competence
• Installation

Certification lasts 5 years.

Temporary works general awareness

This free to access,  level 1 (awareness) course is designed for any­one look­ing to devel­op their under­stand­ing of temporary works in the construction industry.

The course is split into 4 modules:

• Overview
• Management and planning
• Legislation 
• Using temporary works

Health and Safety Awareness eCourses (eHSA) 

This course is approved by CSCS to support applications for the CSCS labourer’s card. For more information on this course please watch the video here.

Setting up and operating a safe construction site during COVID-19

This free to access eCourse has been specifically designed for managers and supervisors, although it can be accessed by anyone who would like to improve their awareness of the correct COVID-19 safety measures that should be followed.

By attending this course managers and supervisors will be able to deliver toolbox talks to their teams with confidence and knowledge.

Topics covered include:

• the importance of site inductions
• understanding a virus
• social distancing
• risk management
• current legislative guidance.
