Small employers often lack the skills to deliver corporate social responsibility, and so can miss the benefits to themselves and the community, including winning new contracts.
The project will develop and deliver an online diagnostic tool that identifies an organisation’s maturity in terms of corporate social responsibility.
This will help to develop participating employers’ skills and capacity in this area.
- Deliver a series of engagement roadshows
- Deliver diagnostic to 100 employers
- Deliver follow-on upskilling through consultancy for 15 employers.

End of project summary
The project finished in February 2018. 5 awareness raising roadshows with 200 delegates from 76 construction companies were held across the UK. 100 companies completed CSR diagnostics and 45 went on to take part in 2-day (n=30) or 10-day (n=15) training and consultancy programmes. Feedback from beneficiaries indicates an improved awareness of the benefits of CSR and increased knowledge in how to identify and rectify CSR skills gaps in their businesses.
