Assessment Services offers on-site assessment for experienced operatives, supervisors and managers. These assessments recognize existing skills, knowledge and experience against a nationally recognized qualification. Holding an NVQ enables you to apply for the relevant skills card for your role.
On-Site Assessment is perfect for:
- Anyone working in the industry who needs to get a relevant skills card
- Individuals who do not want to be away from the job and want to avoid downtime
- Those with years of experience but no formal qualifications.

Supervisory and management qualifications (NVQ level 3 to 7)
Are you a supervisor or manager in England, Wales or Scotland with a significant amount of experience in your current role?
This option involves a number of one-to-one assessments carried out at your place of work. You will normally be expected to achieve your qualification within 9 to 12 months from your first assessment visit.
Occupational trade qualifications England & Wales (NVQ level 2 & 3)
Are you a trade operative in England and Wales with a significant amount of experience in your current role?
This option involves a number of one-to-one assessments carried out at your place of work. You will normally be expected to achieve your qualification within three to six months from your first assessment visit.
Occupational trade qualifications Scotland (SVQ level 5)
Are you a trade operative in Scotland with a significant amount of experience in your current role?
The Workshop provides the opportunity for those with considerable skills and experience but no formal qualifications who work in a relevant construction occupational area to gain an SVQ SCQF Level 5 qualification by demonstrating their competence through evidence from their day-to–day work.
SVQ in Floorcovering (Construction: Resilient/Textile at SCQF Level 6)
The Workshop provides the opportunity for those with considerable skills and experience but no formal qualifications who work in the floorcovering resilient/textile occupational area to gain an SVQ SCQF Level 6 qualification by demonstrating their competence through evidence from their day-to–day work.
