Steelfixing introduction

The purpose of this standard is to provide the delegate with the knowledge to support the following: principles of reinforcing concrete including but not limited to pre-cast, post-tension; storing different types and quality of steel; methods used to determine cover for rebar; read and decipher information from rebar drawings and schedules covering 3D formats generated from design software; methods of tying and when different ties are used; risk awareness and hazard recognition and mitigation; deciding between pre-fabrication and in situ steelfixing; how to read steelfixing drawings and schedules; how to prefabricate a small ground beam from a drawing and schedule; pre-pour, placement and post-placement inspections.

Steelfixing introduction - refresher

The purpose of the Steelfixing introduction – refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the full Steelfixing introduction course or subsequent refresher course and can provide proof of attendance.
